Mörserbrigade der Reserve des Generalkommandos, dokumentierte Medaille, der Gruppe liegen Kopien seiner Militärakte bei, die zahlreiche Informationen enthalten, einschließlich der Gründe, aus denen er verliehen wurde Dekorationen (einschließlich der vollständigen Übersetzung ins Englische) bestehen aus:

Im nördlichen Bereich der Stadt Pultuyek führte der Feind mit Unterstützung von Panzern und Selbstfahrlafetten drei Gegenangriffe durch.
Bis zu 20 Deutsche mit selbstfahrenden [unleserlichen] drei Seiten an Kapitän Palozhenko, 5 deutsche Panzer gerieten zwischen die kämpfenden Reihen der Infanterie.
Kapitän Palozhenko befahl sofort über Funk das Feuer, wodurch der Feind zurückgeschlagen und anschließend aus dem Wald vertrieben wurde.
Während der Kämpfe vom 14. bis 20. Januar erkundete er 5 Einzelbatterien, 12 Maschinengewehrspitzen und 4 75-mm-Geschütze. Alle von ihm entdeckten Ziele wurden durch das Feuer der Brigade vernichtet.

Für die Organisation einer guten Aufklärung, die das Durchbrechen der feindlichen Verteidigung sicherstellte, ist Hauptmann Palozhenko würdig, mit der staatlichen Auszeichnung „Orden des Roten Sterns“ ausgezeichnet zu werden.
