Wiki - Japan - Medal for the 2600th anniversary of the founding of the Japanese Empire
The medal was designed by Hata Shokichi and established in 1940, the year during which celebrations were organized throughout the country commemorating the 2600th anniversary of the founding of the Japanese Empire, in total more than 200,000 copies of this medal were awarded.
The medal is made of aluminum with bronze plating and has a diameter of 30mm.
There are two versions, for men and for women (with a ribbon), both delivered in a dark blue pressed cardboard box.
