"He is in the Red Army since the first days of the Patriotic War in the 7th Guards large-range aviation regiment and since January 1944 in the 1st Red Flag Bryansk Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment of the Bryansk Guards.
Flying as part of the crew: ship's officer captain Bodnar, aviation technician second lieutenant Bogdanenko, air rifleman second lieutenant Gaidukov and air rifleman starshiná Lebedinskiy.
During the participation in the Patriotic War he carried out 173 combat flights at night to bomb the enemy's railroad junctions, army's agglomerations and machinery. After the last decoration he flew 25 combat flights at night.
The piloting technique is superb. In the performance of combat tasks he is insistent, which he also demands from his subordinates. He is calm in the air. In the difficult moment he is not lost. He is not afraid of anti-aircraft fire.
During the period of work in the squadron, the squadron made 405 combat flights to annihilate the German conquerors.
He transmits his knowledge and combat experience to the personnel correctly and without mistakes. He takes great care of his subordinates. He is a 2nd class pilot. He works hard to introduce new pilots to the corps. The squadron is capable of performing any task. He is demanding of himself and his subordinates. General and political development is good. He is morally tough. He has authority among the staff.
