Wiki - Spain - Commemorative medal of the Russian Campaign
Established by decree of November 9, 1943 to reward the services rendered in the Russian front in their fight against communism by the members of the Spanish Division of Volunteers.
The design of the medal is composed in the obverse by the eagle of the Spanish army, over a laurel wreath and over the eagle an iron cross over the emblem of Falange.
On the reverse can be seen the cathedral of St. Sophria protected by the fortress of Novgorod and the inscription Russia 1941 surrounded by a broken chain.
